About
Kirsty is an Actor, Musician, Singer and Vocal Coach, originally from The New Forest. After achieving her PGCE with QTS from the University of Cambridge, Kirsty is now a KS2 Form Tutor, Drama, and Music Teacher at one of the 12 renowned Eton Group schools.
Beginning vocal training at age 11 after a school music teacher spotted her ability, Kirsty quickly developed a passion for music and acting that far surpassed anything else in her life. She went on to train at The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, followed by the Guildford School of Acting (Actor Musicianship), achieving the Actor Musician Prize for Highest Overall Performance in the 2020 graduating cohort.
After leaving GSA into the COVID-19 Pandemic, Kirsty began an online business coaching singing and woodwind, which quickly grew. This led her on to becoming an Associate Singing Teacher at The Guildford School of Acting, and the Spotlight Theatre School of Excellence (Shanghai). Most recently, Kirsty worked for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture, designing and delivering a curriculum in Musical Theatre for the country’s inaugural performing arts programme.
Alongside teaching, Kirsty has taken on work as a Children’s Musical and Choir Director across a variety of projects including G4, Christmas! (Children’s Choir Director), GSA Summer Conservatoire (Musical Director).
Alongside her work, Kirsty is passionate about transforming arts access for Children and Young People and ensuring that Arts Education is delivered equally to all, regardless of their socio-economic background. Her goal in the future is to start a Non-Profit organisation, which will aim to fund music and arts education in schools where this has suffered due to budgetary and funding cuts.
